Floriade
Last week I went on a day trip to the Floriade World Agricultural Expo in Venlo, Netherlands. The Floriade is all about education and information and it offers its visitors the opportunity to see and learn about all sorts of agriculture. The grounds are huge, too big in fact to see everything in one day. However, one day is all I had.
I was aware that I wouldn’t have time to see everything so I decided to skip the many pavilions showing educational movies, choosing instead to spend the day outside walking in the grounds, going from one themed area to another, from a Celtic Tree Circle to an exotic greenhouse or a plot of long since forgotten vegetables…
Flowers and plants
Since there was so much to see I will save some of my news for future blog posts and for now I will just show you a few photos to give you a bit of an insight. What I really liked was the fact that all the flowers and plants on display were also for sale at the exit of the expo and at very normal prices too! I had to restrain myself because Rogier and I don’t have an ornamental garden yet (our house needs to be building first) so I just bought one plant for myself – a Hydrangea Pinky Winky – and some bulby presents for Bridget, whom I shall be visiting next week!
